Hi, I'm Ashlee Kephart, thank you for visiting my web site. I'd like to encourage you to get involved by telling you a little about myself and how I got started. Volunteering has been an important part of my life ever since I was 5 years old. I was given the opportunity to have music in my life at an early age and when I started in Girl Scouts at age 5, I incorporated music into my volunteering. I started out playing my violin during visits to nursing homes and senior centers, then to hospitals and benefits within the community. At age 9, I started my first programs. I found ways to incorporate my talents, skills, music and love for reading, into programs that could make a difference. I enjoy helping others and what I found within myself, is that I can make a difference in the lives of others and create a positive impact upon society. I believe everyone can make a difference no matter what your age or status in life. Sometimes it's the smallest things that change the world. I hear people say, I'm only one small person, what can I do? It only takes one smile, one encouragement, one hand, one listening ear to give hope and value to another and by working together, we can create positive change and positive outcomes building upon each other, can benefit our communities, locally and around the world.

I started out doing garage sales to support these programs, but as the programs grew, I sought the assistance of other kids and individuals. All of these programs offer opportunities for kids, individuals and groups to get involved. A lot of donations for these programs come from garage sales, craft sales, individual and groups. My dream was to one day incorporated these programs into on organization that could reach communities across the globe. That dream has now come true. Kids For A Better World, Inc. is a registered non profit organization. The Mission and purpose of Kids For A Better World, Inc. is an educational and charitable organization, which offers volunteer and educational opportunities for local and global youth, to learn fundraising, volunteerism and corporate responsibilities, and encourages the empowerment of youth, by educating them in starting their own community initiatives. Donations go to different groups and organizations in need, locally and in the global community, by responding to the needs of individuals, children and families.

I am so grateful to everyone who has contributed through the sharing of their time and talents, making, collecting and donating items and for financial support. Please accept a million hugs and thank yous for all the support in helping to keep these programs going and touching the lives of those in need.

I'd like to give a special thank you to Lance at Como Consortium Ltd., Angie, Sandy and Cory, who made my dreams a realitiy, of putting all these programs onto a web site, so we can reach more people and a place where kids can come to learn what they can do in their communities and around the world.Thank you for believing in me and these programs.

Below are links to my most current donation efforts. Please take the time to help others in need
through this website or in your own community. “If you put your mind to it, anything can happen.”
